You know those “gut feelings” you get (the ones you ignore most of the time)? And those “pits in your stomach” you get when you’re under stress (the ones you let stop you most of the time)? Yeah, me too. You may not realize it, but you actually have a second brain in your gut (also known as the enteric nervous system) which actually has a lot more to do with your feelings, performance, and experience in life than the brain located within the six inches between your ears does. The enteric nervous system, which is sometimes considered part of the autonomic nervous system and sometimes considered totally independent, also governs the function of the gastrointestinal system (your digestion and elimination). Here's why that's important... Digestion and elimination problems are at the root cause of all symptoms of all disease.
