Your Lifebook Design Session – How to Prepare and FAQs

Welcome to Lifebook and congratulations on making a decision that will positively impact the rest of your life!  The information on this page will help you get the most out of your Lifebook Design Session.

4 Simple Steps to Prepare for an Extraordinary Experience:

STEP 1:  Make Your Travel Arrangements


The Lifebook Lounge is located at 37w756 Woodgate Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175.

*Please review our turn-by-turn directions before starting your trip since there are two Woodgate Roads in the area, and your GPS may take you to the wrong one.

Please arrive in Chicago by the Wednesday evening prior to your Session, since we start first thing Thursday morning.

If flying, your departure flight should be booked at 6:00PM or after on Sunday.


O’Hare airport (ORD) is the closest.  Approximately 45 – 60 minutes away depending on traffic/time of day.  Midway airport (MDW) is another option.   Approximately 60 – 75 minutes away depending on traffic/time of day.


There are two local hotels that are within 5 miles from the Lifebook Lounge.   (*Note – availability is limited, please reserve your room as soon as possible.)

  • We recommend renting a car to get you to and from the airport, and from your hotel to the event space each day.
  • Note: Ubers and taxis are not widely available in the St. Charles area and may have long wait times.

As soon as you complete the Assessment, you’ll be directed to your customized Report of Findings that will help you prepare to get the most out of your Lifebook Session.

You’ll gain clarity on where you are in each of the 12 categories of your life. You’ll be able to identify where you need more focus and balance and, based on your results, we’ll make specific recommendations that will propel you toward the life of your dreams.

The Intra-Spect Assessment will also serve as a tool to measure your personal development over time.  You’ll be able to quantifiably prove to yourself that you are learning, growing and moving in the right direction.

STEP 3:  Complete the Concierge Questionnaire

STEP 4:  Prepare to Create Your Personal Lifebook


Please be prepared to bring a laptop computer with Microsoft Word installed on it.

Note – Mac Pages does not support the Lifebook Chapter templates.

* If you do not have your own laptop or MS Word, we have Surface Notebooks available to use during the Session. Please contact as soon as possible to reserve one if necessary.

In addition to your printed Lifebook, you’ll receive an electronic version of the chapter files so you can update and edit them after your Session.



You can customize your Lifebook and give it a powerful emotional charge by adding personal photos.  Start selecting and organizing a collection of photos on the laptop you’re bringing or on a memory stick.

At a minimum, we recommend choosing 12 horizontal photos for the cover page of each of the 12 Lifebook Categories:

  1.     Health and Fitness
  2.     Intellectual Life
  3.     Emotional Life
  4.     Character
  5.     Spiritual Life
  6.     Love Relationship
  7.     Parenting
  8.     Social Life
  9.     Financial Life
  10.     Career
  11.     Quality of Life
  12.     Life Vision

Here are some additional tips, but you are free to personalize your Lifebook in any way that you like.

  • Photos of yourself will be helpful in many of the Personal Life categories, such as Health and Fitness, Intellectual Life, Emotional Life, Character and Spiritual Life.
  • Pictures of yourself with your lover, family and friends are perfect for your Relationship Categories.
  • Nature photos or pictures of anything that inspires and motivates you can be great for a number of categories.
  • You may also want to include photographs of the environments you love, places you’ve traveled or want to travel, and the things and experiences you want in your life.

If you don’t have many digital photos, don’t worry! We’ll provide you with high quality stock images and beautiful Chapter templates to get you started.

Keep in mind that you’ll be able to continue editing your Lifebook Chapters and can re-print pages after your Session. Your Lifebook is a dynamic workbook that changes as your life changes.

Arrival into Chicago

Thursday:  7:45 AM  – 6:30 PM

Doors open at 7:30 AM

The first day of the program kicks off with everything you’ll need to be set up for a successful Lifebook Design Session.  You’ll have an introduction to our proven process and training on the chapter templates.  You will begin exploring the Personal Life section of your Lifebook.

Friday:  8:00 AM  – 6:45 PM

Doors open at 7:30 AM

On day two you will wrap up the Personal Life section of your Lifebook and dive into the Relationship Section.

Saturday:  8:00 AM  – 6:30 PM

Doors open at 7:30 AM

On day three you will explore the Business Life section of your Lifebook and start to define what Quality of Life really means to you.

Sunday:  8:00 AM  – 3:00 PM

Doors open at 7:30 AM

In the morning you’ll finish writing the first draft of your personal Lifebook.  We will spend the remainder of the day focused on the next steps of your journey – how to successfully integrate what you’ve learned into your lifestyle.  At the end of the day, you’ll receive the blueprint for your ideal life: your Lifebook, and we’ll celebrate together!

Food and Dress

A light breakfast and a gourmet lunch are served daily.  Healthy snacks, coffee, tea and refreshing juice blends will be available throughout the day.

Feel free to dress in a style that is comfortable for you.  Casual or a little dressier – jeans, pants, skirts or dresses will all be fine.  We do recommend wearing layers so that you can easily adjust if the room feels warm or cool for you.
